Mad for Solids: Our Elite Eight (+ Game 1 voting!)

Introducing our Elite Eight!

These eight palettes have made it through a competitive first round and are back, hoping to win your hearts and propel themselves into the Final Four!

(If you've just come across our Mad for Solids bracket for the first time, we asked 16 designers to select 8-fabric palettes of Painter's Palette Solids. We're asking you to help us choose the favorite. Learn more here.)

Before we get to the voting, we'd like to send a huge thank you to all sixteen of our designers. We loved seeing the palettes that you chose, and we appreciate you being part of our Mad for Solids bracket. We look forward to seeing what you make with your palette!

It's time to narrow the Elite Eight down to the Final Four.
Voting starts today with Game 1.

You can vote in three different ways:
1. Leave a comment here on the blog.
2. Vote on our Facebook page.
3. Leave a comment on Instagram
One vote per person per platform, please.

Voting is open from 6 pm CDT Monday, March 26th through 5:59 pm CDT Monday, March 27th.

Voting for this game has now ended. Thank you!

Tiffany Lights
From top: Dewberry, Aquarius, Beryl, Maize, Poppy Red, Daredevil, Island, Paradise

This bundle is inspired by the colors found in two stained glass color wheels made by the famous designer and artist Louis Comfort Tiffany. These interlocking wheels were placed at the base of a fountain, and as water filled and flowed out of the fountain, the water was infused with an ever-changing rainbow of colored lights.

vs.

Heirloom Opal
From top: Amethyst, Royal, River, Aruba, Cyan, Honeydew, Apple Green, Android
Have you ever seen an Australian opal?  From a dark background that's maybe black or darkest purple comes flashing bits of color in greens, blues, and turquoise.  It reminds me of the Northern Lights - a phenomena I've never personally seen but would love to.  The beauty of an opal is that you have this miraculous combination of colors and glowing light contained in a piece of jewelry.  Almost makes it seem magical to wear one.  I've been working on a pattern to, hopefully, illustrate the beauty and sparkle.  Check my feed to see how this beautiful stack of colors will be transformed....

Vote by leaving a comment below with the name of the bundle you are voting for.
