12 Days of Christmas: Day 5

Christmas is only 72 days away!

To help you get ready for the holidays, we're spending 12 days featuring Christmas fabrics, tutorials, and free quilt patterns. Be sure to stop back each day for another dose of inspiration! We'll also be offering some giveaways, so keep an eye out for a chance to win some Christmas fabric to jump start your next project!

On the fifth day of Christmas we have:
(not five golden rings!)
A tutorial for a table runner and placemats made by Connie of Freemotion by the River, using Ro Gregg's Tis The Season collection:
Tis The Season by Ro Gregg table runner

Connie:
I am excited to be a part of the 12 Days of Christmas here at Inspired by Fabric! I used the beautiful Christmas fabrics Tis The Season by Ro Gregg to create a table runner and place mats that will be perfect for the holidays.

The floral print used on the back of the runner and place mats can make these reversible.

The finished size of the table runner is 18 x 40 inches and starts with three 10 inch blocks. The place mats are 12 x 16 inches.  I hope you enjoy the tutorials!

  69. I'm might have had a little hiccup in my assembly. My final long border (1 1/2 x 40) was too short if I cut it at 40". If I did the math correctly, 34.5 inner border + 2 @ 2.5 squares (less .5 for seams) + 1 1/2 x 2 (less .5 for seams) = 41".
The table runner turned out beautifully. Thanks for a great pattern. It was well written and easy to follow.
